The two spaces on the bottom are called ventricles. This is where blood is pumped out of the heart. The heart muscle tightens and loosens, too. This is how it pumps blood. 2. When some butterflies are resting they look like leaves. Other animals cannot see them. 5. It was Sunday morning. Jed and Margie were playing sand along the beach. They were making different shapes and formations out of the sand. Suddenly, there were big and strong waves. Identify the verb phrase in these sentences. Pick one. 6. In the house, she had a small room with a window that looked out over the beautiful Mount Mayon. She was a gentle, patient woman; a perfect grandmother for her son’s daughter and son. She loved her daughter-in-law as if she were her own child. In return, she is loved and respected by everybody. In Aling Nena’s room, there were a few treasured possessions. Of all her possessions, the most important to her was the big, splendid jar with black and gold design. She received this beautiful antique from her great great grandparents which was given to her grandparents, passed to her parents and before they died this antique was given to her.
